WORK EXPERIENCE:

The latest milestone in my career is NutritionInvestor, an online magazine covering investment activity in food and drink, which I created and launched for a publisher in London. The website attracted an average of 5,000 unique monthly visitors in just six months, and its follower base on LinkedIn reached 1,500 in nine months. These KPIs are a testament to the editorial and SEO strategies I implemented to position the new brand in front of a global audience.
In May 2021, I left the company to embark on a new challenge.

TESTIMONIALS

IBI publishing director Nick Hopkinson, Cranes Today editor Will North, and University of Westminster lecturer Dave Gilbert recommend working with me.

"Murielle has been an excellent member of the editorial team on International Boat Industry and Superyacht Business magazines since 2011. She has researched and written numerous features on the boating industry and its markets worldwide as well as conducting interviews with leading personalities in the business.

She has also been a key person behind the content of the IBI Plus Daily industry newsletter as well as the weekly Superyacht Business newsletter. She has strong digital skills and has been responsible for the website development and maintenance for both titles.

Murielle is reliable and industrious employee who also contributes useful new ideas to further the expansion of the business. I would strongly recommend Murielle to any prospective employer."

"As the editor of a highly specialised international B2B magazine I often struggle to find bilingual journalists who can both give me access to markets that my London-based team cannot reach, and understand the interests of my niche audience. On her first two regional market reports for Cranes Today, and with very little guidance from me, Murielle Gonzalez Oisel achieved both.

In her first article for me, writing about a region she is familiar with, but an industry she only has tangential experience of covering, she identified interviewees and data that my team would struggle to find, and put forward a compelling description of the regional market. On her second piece, covering a region that was, I understand, new to her, she delivered the same compelling and insightful copy.
Murielle is a flexible and skilled journalist, who is able to quickly pick up on the needs of specialist audiences with whom she has little initial familiarity. She delivers detailed, compelling, and well written copy, on time, and makes few demands on the time of her editor."

"Murielle is a determined, inquiring journalist with a willingness to embrace new technology. She was already an experienced journalist when we met but added a range of new skills whilst studying for an MA. Murielle's final project to build a website is a credit to her. She is a major asset to any newsroom and I have no hesitation in recommending her."
